From the first semester, students learn Applied AI and Prompt Engineering, Content Writing, Visual Content Creation, Digital Marketing, and No-Code Web and Mobile App Development using GitHub Copilot. This means students can begin earning safely through imaging awareness content, diagnostic visuals, clinic websites, patient education posts, YouTube scripts, and healthcare digital support. This is not just an imaging degree. Scholarship & Study Loan

Work-Based Scholarship (WBS): work 10 hours/week online for 40% off (payable Rs 120,000/sem) or 5 hours/week for 20% off. Earned by working — not by marks.

Study Loan: an additional 40% study loan brings the payable amount to ~Rs 72,000/semester. Repaid after the student starts earning, in 6 instalments under a signed undertaking.

Admission to Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging Technology requires Higher Secondary School Certificate or an IBCC-equivalent qualification in Pre-Medical Group or relevant.

The Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging Technology is a four-year undergraduate Allied Health Sciences program offered across eight regular semesters with a total of 138 credit hours. The structure includes 34 credit hours of General Education, 37 credit hours of Allied Health Common Core, 12 credit hours of Interdisciplinary courses, 49 credit hours of Major Domain Core, 3 credit hours of Field Experience/Internship, and 3 credit hours of Capstone/Research Project. The minimum duration is four years and the maximum duration is normally six years, with any further extension subject to University statutory approval and applicable policy.

For Allied Health Sciences programs, merit scholarship may be offered as follows: 90% and above marks: 40% scholarship; 80% to 89% marks: 35% scholarship; 70% to 79% marks: 30% scholarship; and 60% to 69% marks: 20% scholarship, subject to verification and University approval.

Are kinship and alumni discounts available?

Yes. Kinship discount may be 25% and alumni discount may be 50%, subject to verification, eligibility, continuation rules, and University policy.

Is study loan support available?

Students may apply for a 50% study loan subject to approval under University policy. Approved students may be required to complete assigned University work and repay according to the approved repayment schedule.

Is this program aligned with HEC curriculum?

Yes. The roadmap has been prepared using the HEC Allied Health Sciences Curricula 2026 and the University roadmap template, subject to statutory review and approval.

How is recognition explained to students?

Students should understand that the University of South Asia is chartered, HEC-recognized, and globally recognized as a degree-awarding university. Program delivery and clinical components remain subject to applicable University, HEC, statutory, and professional requirements.
