Work-Based Scholarship (WBS): work 10 hours/week online for 40% off (payable Rs 120,000/sem) or 5 hours/week for 20% off. Earned by working — not by marks.

Study Loan: an additional 40% study loan brings the payable amount to ~Rs 72,000/semester. Repaid after the student starts earning, in 6 instalments under a signed undertaking.

For admission to PhD Computer Science the applicant must have MS/MPhil/equivalent degree in Computer Science or a closely related computing discipline from an HEC-recognized institution. Acceptable fields include MS/MPhil Computer Science, MS Software Engineering, MS Computer Engineering, MS Information Technology, MS Telecom Networks, and MS Information Systems as stated in the uploaded program file. Minimum CGPA 3.00/4.00 in semester system or first division / 60% marks in annual system is required. The applicant must pass Departmental/University subject test with at least 70% marks, or 60% in relevant GMAT/GRE as stated in the uploaded program file. The Statement of purpose or research idea, interview/research fit review, supervisor availability, document verification, and University approval.

Duration, Credit Hours, and Program Structure

The PhD Computer Science program is structured around doctoral coursework, research readiness, comprehensive examination, and a major supervised dissertation. The uploaded program file requires 18 credit hours of coursework and 30 credit hours of research thesis, making 48 academic/research credit hours. The University also teaches Fehm-e-Quran I and II at PhD level, each carrying 1 credit hour, as an additional University learning requirement. Total credit hours requirement is 50.
