Frequently Asked Questions

Why is Human Resource Management important in the AI era?

Organizations still depend on people, leadership, culture, and talent. AI and digital tools can support recruitment, training, communication, and HR analytics, but human judgment remains essential. This specialization prepares students to combine technology with empathy, fairness, communication, and ethical people management.

What makes BBA - Human Resource Management different from a general BBA?

A general BBA builds broad business understanding, while this specialization gives focused preparation in recruitment, HR analytics, HR information systems, performance management, compensation, and digital HR transformation. Students still study core business areas, but their final pathway is clearly people-management focused.

Can students start building useful skills from the first semester?

Yes. Students begin with academic writing, digital communication, basic design, ICT, English, and entrepreneurship. These skills can help them create recruitment posts, company profiles, HR content, training visuals, small business support material, and other beginner-friendly digital outputs while continuing their full degree.

Is this program suitable for students who like communication and working with people?

Yes. This specialization is especially suitable for students who enjoy communication, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, interviews, employee development, workplace culture, and helping organizations manage people more effectively. It also supports students interested in HR consulting, recruitment services, training, or people-focused startups.

What can I start doing after the first semester?

After the first semester, students can begin building small but useful skills such as writing job posts, creating recruitment visuals, preparing company profiles, supporting social media content, helping small businesses with basic documentation, and creating training or onboarding material under guidance.

What career roles can I pursue after completing BBA - HRM?

Graduates may pursue HR assistant, recruitment officer, HR executive, training coordinator, employee engagement associate, performance management assistant, HR analytics assistant, HRIS support role, compensation support role, or people-operations roles, depending on skills, employer requirements, and available opportunities.

Is freelancing or entrepreneurship possible in HRM?

Yes, but it should begin with safe beginner services such as HR content, recruitment posts, resume screening support, company profiles, interview preparation material, training slides, employee handbook drafts, and small business HR documentation. Advanced HR consulting requires experience, credibility, and professional judgment.

What makes this specialization future-ready?

Modern HR is moving toward data-informed recruitment, digital HR systems, remote teams, employee experience platforms, performance dashboards, and people analytics. Students who understand both business and people can help organizations hire, train, retain, and support employees more effectively.

Who is eligible to apply for BBA - Human Resource Management?

Students who have completed HSSC, A-Levels, or an equivalent qualification recognized by IBCC with at least 50% marks can apply, subject to verification of documents and fulfillment of University admission requirements.

Can students from different subject backgrounds apply?

Yes. BBA – Human Resource Management is open to students from relevant Intermediate, A-Level, or equivalent backgrounds. The University will review the applicant’s academic record and documents according to its admission rules.

Is an entry test or interview required for this BBA program?

No entry test or interview is stated in the provided HEC BBA roadmap for this specialization. Admission is based on eligibility, document completion, verification, and University admission process. If the University notifies any additional procedure in future, students will be guided accordingly.

Can awaiting-result students apply?

Yes. Awaiting-result students may be considered for provisional admission according to University rules. Final admission is confirmed after submission and verification of final result, equivalence where required, and fulfillment of the eligibility criteria.

Is equivalence required for O/A-Level or foreign qualifications?

Yes. Applicants with O/A-Level, foreign board, or foreign qualifications must provide equivalence from the relevant authority, such as IBCC. Admission may remain provisional until equivalence and academic eligibility are verified.

Can credit transfer or lateral entry be considered?

Credit transfer or lateral entry may be considered under HEC and University rules, subject to relevant qualification, seat availability, course matching, required grades or CGPA, roadmap compatibility, and departmental approval.

What is the total duration of BBA - Human Resource Management?

The normal duration is 4 years, divided into 8 regular semesters. The maximum duration is 6 years, with possible further extension for 1 year with statutory approval as per the HEC curriculum and University rules.

How many credit hours are required?

The program requires 130 credit hours in total. These credit hours are distributed across general education, core business courses, HEI-decided core courses, interdisciplinary courses, HRM specialization courses, internship, and capstone project.

How are the credit hours divided across categories?

The program includes 34 credit hours of General Education, 33 of Mandatory Core, 27 of HEI-decided Core, 12 of Interdisciplinary/Allied, 18 of Specialization/Electives, 3 of Internship/Field Experience, and 3 of Capstone Project.

Yes. Practical learning is included through assignments, HR documentation tasks, recruitment posts, HR dashboards, role plays, interview simulations, presentations, certification preparation, internship, and a capstone project focused on HR or people-management problems.

What is the role of the capstone project?
