Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold a domicile from any district of Punjab. The monthly family income of the applicant should be less than Rs. 300,000 (affidavit required – a sample can be downloaded). Candidates must be enrolled in selected disciplines of designated universities or colleges, ranging from the 3rd to 8th semester. Students currently in the 2nd to 5th year of MBBS or BDS programs are also eligible.
For academic performance, the minimum requirement is as follows:

Public sector universities/colleges: At least 70% marks or equivalent CGPA for science disciplines, and 65% marks or equivalent CGPA for arts disciplines.

Public sector medical/dental colleges: A minimum of 60% in annual exams.
Merit will be assessed according to the HEC’s uniform semester system policy for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Pakistan.
Scholarship Coverage
The scholarship provides 100% tuition fee coverage.

Scholarship Distribution

Phase I: 30,000 scholarships were awarded to deserving students admitted to the 1st semester of BS programs in public universities, graduate colleges, selected federal chartered/private universities, and to 1st year medical students.

Phase II: 20,000 scholarships were granted to students enrolled from the 3rd to 8th semester of BS programs and 2nd to 5th year of MBBS/BDS programs in public sector universities, colleges, and medical institutions.

Phase III: 5,000 scholarships were allocated to students from other provinces.
Project Overview
The Higher Education Department is the sponsoring body, while the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) is the implementing agency. The program’s approved cost stands at Rs. 5,868.05 million. Initially, Rs. 2,500.00 million was allocated, later revised to Rs. 5,868.05 million. The Finance Department has released the full amount, with Rs. 2,807.55 million utilized so far.
