Day out with the Army

A day started with decorum and ends in Applause !

A solider fights not because he hates the country in front of him, he fights because he loves the country behind him. –And we cannot thank enough our luck for to be part of that beloved country our Military men are fighting for every single day so we can sleep peacefully in our secure homes every single night.

On a fine morning of 4th June 2015, A delegation of 150 students and faculty members visited the Corps Headquarters at Lahore and met the very honorable senior Artillery staff at the Lahore military headquarters

Some of the honorable hosts at Corps headquarters included the very namely:

1-      Major General Sardar Tariq Aman – General Officer Commanding Headquarters 10 Division

2-      Lieutenant Colonel Mansoor Altaf Bhatti – Commanding Officer 2 Field Regiment Artillery

3-      Major Muhammad Saleem Khan, 2 field Regiment Artiller

Talking to students, Major General Sardar Tariq Aman said that youth is the hope and future of this country. He said that the sacrifices being rendered by Pak Army in the ongoing war against terror is meant to secure a peaceful environment to ensure a brighter future for them.

He emphasized the need for their whole hearted commitment towards attaining academic excellence as pursuance of education is the best way the students can defeat the forces of retrogression. The objective is also to instil even greater sense of patriotism, confidence and dedication towards the country in our youth


Earlier in the day the students enjoyed a demonstration by Quick Reaction Force to combat terrorists and commended the agility and fighting capability of the elements of Light Commando Battalion.

They were also imparted technical insights on weapon handling and small arms firing skills.

The students also visited the border area and commended the professionalism, dedication and resolve of Army officers and Jawans in defending the motherland. The day long programme culminated with flag lowering ceremony at Pak-India joint check post at Wagha.

The students were thrilled by smart turnout and bearing combined with immaculate drills by troops of Pakistan Rangers. On the conclusion of visit, the students thanked the Army high command for arranging the visit for them.

The day-long programme ‘A Day Out with the Army’ has been specifically initiated on instructions of Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif to further enhance the morale, motivation and confidence of the youth.
