About Program

Physical therapy Assistant (PTA) is an essential member of modern healthcare system. The aim of this program is to produce PTAs who assists the Physiotherapist/Physical Therapist (PT) in providing physical therapy services to individuals with pain and movement related disorders resulting from injury, disease, or other musculoskeletal causes. Further, provide prevention services to promote health, wellness, and fitness. Tasks performed by the PTA include: • Instructions in therapeutic exercises and functional training • Utilization of specialized equipment and physical agents • Communication with the PT regarding the response of individuals to interventions • Documentation of treatment sessions Clinical experience in a variety of settings allows the student to explore various specialties.
