Bachelors in Architecture, the PCATP (Pakistan Council of Architects & Town Planners) Bachelors in Architecture and Design,
the PCATP (Pakistan Council of Architects & Town Planners) recognized degree in Pakistan is a five years professional degree
program. The curriculum of architecture program is designed keeping in view the technological changing trends, following the
social and cultural trends, architectural history, application of innovative materials and soft-wares to assess and apply on
the sustainable environment and energy efficient buildings. Hence the course includes the contents through theory and practice
to allow students to specialize in a specific aspect of architecture, such as architectural technologies, digital media, landscape
design, Architectural History, Interior Design etc. In addition to the core courses, a wide variety of elective subjects are offered
to introduce cutting edge techniques in building construction.
In Architecture Department at USA, our passion is to provide professional education through a program designed to produce resourceful and adaptable architects who are able to respond critically and responsibly.

The program’s mission is to bring the department at par with other national and international universities and to create job opportunities in building construction technologies for the exponential rise in population of Pakistan.
The Architectural Education at University of South Asia aims to pursue excellence in the field of Architecture. The course work is rigorous and demanding, and includes study of the underlying theoretical and conceptual frameworks of the academic disciplines of the field of Architecture.
In the achievement of brilliance in their career, the students are trained to:
- Gain a knowledge of history and contemporary theory of the built environment.
- Know about materials and construction techniques.
- Develop an ability to consider the impact on the environment humans and buildings have.
- Develop an understanding of sustainable design solutions within the built environment.
- Work as a team in the execution of architectural projects
- Give special importance to the revolutionized and latest technologies applicable in architectural design, construction and sustainable architecture.
Welcome to the Faculty of Architecture, University of South Asia (USA). Established in 2004 our program is accredited by the Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners (PCATP).
The ultimate goal in the education and professional performance of an architect is to program, plan, design and supervise the making of the built environment. An academic program for architects should therefore, seek to close the gap between art and science, between form and substance and between aesthetics and engineering, thus emphasizing the need for multifaceted education. In order to achieve this, the department of Architecture at the university will make a concerted effort to inspire and expose the students to as wide a range of experiences as possible through which an individual student is able to discover his/her potentials and interests.
The rapid growth of information technology in recent years is perhaps the single most significant development in the last century. In the field of Architecture, too, the computer technology has opened up new areas of opportunity and challenges not only for the creative visualization of works of architecture but also for decision making, planning and managing the complex processes required to develop and maintain the built environment.
The fast depleting fossil fuels on this planet and the shortage of energy has led us to rethink the development and maintenance of our built environment. Considering the fact that almost half of the energy resources of any country (which are no longer available in abundance) are consumed in the construction and maintenance of buildings, the building designs must undergo rapid changes with respect to the consumption of energy for their development and maintenance/running, and the buildings be designed on sustainable principles to conserve, reuse and recycle these resources.
The Department of Architecture at USA Lahore would welcome all the challenges of the 21st century and declare it as one of its core objectives to become a premier institute in the country to accept these challenges and opportunities in the creative application of information and energy technologies in the field of architecture.
